The City & Guilds 2365 Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installations Course is the natural progression for anyone who has completed the Level 2 Diploma 2365 course or related level 2 courses. Completion of this course will enable you to undertake the Level 3 NVQ thus becoming recognised as a fully qualified electrical engineer within the industry and gaining the infamous ‘gold card’

This course is aimed at those that are looking to build on their previous theoretical knowledge and practical skills and continuing their progress in becoming a fully qualified electrician. The candidate must be over 18 years old.

Course Overview
Amplo Training offers the City and guilds 2365-03 Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installations (Buildings and Structures). This course has been designed to help build on your understanding and knowledge gained from the level 2 course. This programme of study covers all of the necessary elements to further develop your skills and theoretical knowledge and understanding of advanced electrical science, inspection and testing, fault finding and rectification and electrical design. The award consists of the
following elements of study:
- Understand the fundamental principles and requirements of environmental technology systems
- Principles of Electrical Science
- Electrical Installations: Fault Diagnosis and Rectification
- Electrical Installations : Inspection, Testing and Commissioning
- Electrical Systems design
- Career awareness in building services engineering
- Health and safety in building services engineering
On completion of this course you will have gained the necessary knowledge and skills to become confident in your ability to:
- Work within the industry in a safe and environmentally aware manner
- Understand and apply knowledge of the principles of electrical science
- Confidently find faults within an electrical installation and rectify such faults
- Conduct safe isolation practices and inspect, test and commission electrical installations
- Design electrical systems in accordance with the industry regulations
Course Delivery
The 2365-3 is a 36 day course and is both classroom and workshop based.
There are 3 delivery options available at Amplo training:
Option 1 – Full time weekdays
This will be delivered from 9:00am – 4pm (Mon – Fri) for 8 consecutive weeks
Option 2 – Weekends
This will be delivered from 9:30am – 4:30pm (Sat – Sun) over 20 consecutive weekends
Option 3 – Evenings
This will be delivered from 6pm – 9pm (Tues & Thurs) over 36 consecutive weeks
This ‘fast track’ course can seem fairly intense and does require the learner to dedicate some ‘extra’ time outside of the scheduled class timetable. By completing any extra ‘homework’ set allows you to gain all the necessary knowledge from the sessions at the centre and then ‘digest’ this information with further study at home. During the in-centre sessions, we will cover all of the above aspects thoroughly as well as help prepare you for the examinations and assessments for each unit.
To gain the City and Guilds qualification, you will be required to complete a number of assessments which consists of:
- Multiple choice online examinations
- Pre-energised and energised Inspection and Testing assessments
- Fault finding and rectification assessments
- Electrical design project
- Written question assignments.
To help you prepare for these assessments, you will be working through the course books and be provided with the necessary work pack, notes, hand-outs, guidance. You will also be set sample test questions, as well as timed mock tests and ample time and opportunities to practise and complete the practical elements.
We feel this approach will help provide you with the opportunity to become confident with both the theoretical and practical elements of the course. This will give you the optimum opportunity to perform at the required level in the assessments.
